In July 2021, we celebrated the American French wedding of Sarah and Florimond in central Paris. Paris is Paris and shooting in the capital city is always delightful and satisfying. From the Cathedral of Saint Louis des Invalides to the Seine river bank, the city has offered to the couple and their international guests an unforgettable day and timeless pictures.
To capture every moment of the big day, bride and groom have chosen a photo report including pictures in several great locations in Paris and photographs that pay attention to the details.
What we like with Paris is that the city is always offering you unexpected sceneries!
The day started with a sunny morning in shooting the bride and the groom and their closest friends and relatives for their respective getting ready. Surrounded by her bridesmaid team, Sarah took the time to take pictures with friends and close family that just flew over the ocean for the happiest day in her life. Emotions and thrills were there!
The photography session was continued with bride portrait pictures before the ceremony. It gave us the chance to capture Sarah’s glam look and radiance with her distinguished eyes and brows through the veil, also pictures of the wedding gown with the embroidered white lace.
On his side the soon-to-be-married Florimond decided to pay a tribute to his military membership and duties. We shot a couple of formal pictures of the groom surrounded by his fellows wearing uniforms.
We carried on the day in the ceremony location which was the extraordinary Cathédrale Saint Louis des Invalides. The blue-dressed maids of honor walked the Bride to the church and striked a pose among the cannons for the greatest pleasure of the photographers!
Shooting in this unique venue is a one of a kind for a wedding photographer so to make sure, we captured the Yes and the couple’s vows but also wedding guest’s emotions two Materaphotography team photographers were shooting from the altar and to all along the aisle.
As you can see on the picture below, the bright light reflected by the stones and the stain-glass windows have made the place incomparable for this ceremony and for capturing the couple’s emotions. Paris is unique and so are the Invalides!
With a bit of guidance and despite the rain showers, we could take pictures of the newly married couple who performed some poses in the Invalides Gardens.
After the ceremony, the wedding party venue was a large barge sailing on the Seine River with a nice cocktail and a fine dinner to accommodate their guests.
The sail has offered us the possibility to take some unique pictures of Sarah and Florimond making the most from the golden hours light, incomparable Parisian monuments.
You see this picture with the Eiffel Tower in the background taken along the sail. It was just the right time, the right place and above all the right feelings …
Why wedding photography is so important? It captures every moment of your happiest day so you can hold onto the memories for a lifetime …
